Hot Shot service is a method of freight movement where time is critical and every minute is important! This type of service is most commonly utilized by larger organizations. For example, an industrial manufacturing plant or mining operation may be at a standstill due to a breakdown of an important part. The damaged component may be too large to fit on an airplane, or the delivery location too obscure for air travel.
Bandstra Transportation has a network of employees lined up around the province to move at a moment’s notice, regardless of the time of day. Our crew prides itself it on the ability to pick up a small carton or multiple truck loads, and drive them to the delivery site, without the freight ever stopping. This expedited service comes at an increased rate; however, for our clients it is often a more cost effective alternative than delaying delivery by a few days and missing production quota, or having an entire plant or mine site full of personnel standing still.
When a customer requests a “hot shot” service, the shipment moves to our highest priority; our crew along the line stands ready to make certain the shipment does not stop for any reason. Our dispatchers and managers are in continual communication with the drivers, through cellular phones and satellite truck tracking and communication system, to ensure everything is moving on schedule.
Our operational strategy is designed to move freight as fast as possible, with trucks driving throughout the night to offer next day delivery service from Vancouver to many locations in British Columbia; however, when “fast” is not fast enough, our “hot shot” service is always available.
Call any of our terminals to alert us of your hot shot (time critical) shipment.
