In 2010, the BC Provincial Government's Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure, in conjunction with the British Columbia Trucking Association, introduced the Premium Carrier Program. This program is designed to identify the "best of the best" carriers operating in BC, recognizing and rewarding trucking companies for their exceptional safety practices. The purpose is intended to "enhance road safety by recognizing and rewarding those carriers who show exceptional commitment to safety and to showcase their best practices as examples for other carriers" (BC MOT).
Bandstra Transportation is proud to be the first carrier to become a member of this program. Transportation Minister Shirley Bond presented Bandstra Transportation and another BC carrier with a certificate to signify this prestigious award. Safety is always a large concern for any transportation and logistics company; Bandstra Transportation takes this challenge head on, and has put safety at the forefront of everything that we do. This award helps to honour that hard work by the entire staff to ensure that our company enjoys some of the safest working conditions in the industry.
