For the owners of NuFloors Terrace, the business started with a simple goal: turning years of industry experience into something of their own.
“It was really a dream,” says owner Twyla, referring to her husband Stewart’s vision after spending more than two decades installing flooring. “He installed flooring for 20 or 25 years and wanted to own his own business.”
Today, more than six years after taking ownership, NuFloors Terrace has become more than a flooring store. While flooring remains at the heart of operations, the business has expanded to include cabinets, countertops, wallpaper, blinds, lighting, and premium appliance brands — creating a one-stop destination for residential and commercial interior projects in the region.
Although part of the broader Nufloors buying group, each location operates independently, giving local owners flexibility to serve the unique needs of their communities.
And in a region where distance can present challenges, dependable transportation has become a critical piece of keeping projects on schedule.

Products regularly arrive from the Vancouver area, Alberta, and occasionally much farther away — including eastern Canada and the United States. Managing those shipments requires consistency, flexibility, and problem-solving.
According to Twyla, support often goes beyond simply delivering freight.
“Every once in a while something shows up that I’m not comfortable moving with the forklift,” she says. “The driver is happy to help out and move that big roll of carpet for us.”
For NuFloors Terrace, service matters as much as transportation.
“Bandstra is really good that way,” Twyla says. “They find solutions and will go out of their way to help get whatever products here.”
Those relationships help local businesses continue operating efficiently while serving customers in communities where access and logistics can be more complex than in larger urban centres.
